Even though they predominantly do meat dishes they have some great vegetarian options. They also have Chinotto San Pellegrino, which was discontinued, which is a huge plus.

Food is good but sadly if your not local you won't get the best service. Went in for breakfast and it was genuinely full. Asked if we could book as it was a 20 minute wait but told no. As we left a family of four came in and were about to get the same answer but said they had booked and got seated. Obviously we didn't know the secret hand shake to get booked. Shame as the other times we have been the food has mostly been of a high standard but this kind of customer snobbery exists but they must be busy enough to feel they can do it.
First visit for me in Haddington after Falko moved from Morningside. Great out door seating. The whole place really feels like sitting in a German market town. Well chosen! Cakes fab ad usual. Also took some bread home. After 25 years in this country still very much missed item. Thanks Falko !
